Bajoran lilacs are a variety of Bajoran flowers. They were Kira Meru's favorite flower.
On Meru's birthday in 2374, Major Kira Nerys ordered a box of the flowers from Quark and place them in her quarters, to honor her late mother. (DS9: "Wrongs Darker Than Death or Night")
In 2375, Benjamin Sisko gave Kasidy Bajoran lilacs as a way of apologizing for persuading the Freight and Shipping Authority to take her off the active freighter captains' list. (DS9: "The Changing Face of Evil")
