David P. Harmon (3 September 1918 – 28 August 2001; age 82) was the author of TOS: "The Deadly Years", "A Piece of the Action", and TAS: "The Eye of the Beholder". He also submitted a story idea in 1968 called "Beware of Gryptons Bearing Gifts"; it was not produced, however. His career as a writer and producer spanned nearly 50 years, and his writing credits included Gilligan's Island, The Brady Bunch, The Untouchables, various Wonderful World of Disney productions, and many others.
