In 2370, Data intended to perform a scene from The Tempest where Miranda first encounters outsiders. (TNG: "Emergence")
- The character of Liana from ENT: "Oasis", a sheltered young woman, growing up isolated with her father and being fascinated when outsiders come, was clearly based on Miranda. Also the Miranda-class of starship was named for this character. (citation needed • edit)
