An orb experience is a vision experienced by people when confronting an orb. The experience is normally similar to what happens when the Bajoran prophets appear to people, as familiar figures appear representing different parts of one's psyche. Orb experiences can last a long time, sometimes even days. (DS9: "Rapture")

Vedek Bareil had several orb experiences concerning his guilty feelings about the Kendra Valley Massacre in 2370. (DS9: "The Collaborator")
