From Memory Alpha, the free Star Trek reference

(Redirected from Phineas Tarbolde)

Tarbolde was the author from Canopus Planet, who wrote the sonnet "Nightingale Woman" in 1996. He is regarded as one of the best poets of his era ever since. (TOS: "Where No Man Has Gone Before")

His brilliance was partly the reminiscent of his encounter with Onaya who helped him in his career like she did with John Keats and Tavor Kell. He died young, having his mental energy drained by Onaya. (DS9: "The Muse")

According to the Star Trek Concordance, Tarbolde's first name was "Phineas".
Tarbolde's work was mentioned in the novel Q-Space, as being among the personal collection of Jean-Luc Picard.
