Star Trek: Alien Spotlight is a blanket title for two miniseries of Star Trek comics from IDW, containing stories focusing on a different alien species each issue.

The first volume of six issues began its release in early October 2007. Three of the stories were set in the Original Series time frame and three during the Next Generation era. An omnibus edition was released 14 May 2008 collecting all six issues.

A second volume was later announced, to be released in early 2009. The species which will receive focus in this volume are the Klingons, Tholians, Ferengi, Betazoids, the Q, and a sixth yet to be announced. The Klingon issue - entitled "Four Thousand Throats..." [1] - will be written by Keith R.A. DeCandido. The artist for the issue will be J.K. Woodward. [2] Andrew Steven Harris will be writing the Ferengi-centric issue [3], while the Q issue will be written by Scott and David Tipton. [4] James Patrick, and Mike W. Barr will also contribute, although their species assignments have yet to be announced. [5] Which author will write which issue has yet to be announced.

The second volume was originally expected to be released in summer 2008.
