[edit] Spacedock

An unnamed Oberth-class in Spacedock

This unnamed Oberth-class vessel was berthed in Spacedock while Kirk and company were enroute to their new command after the Whale Probe crisis. (Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home)

According to Trek: The Unauthorized Story of the Movies, in a section discussing the cost-saving measures used during the film, in addition to the reuse of the Klingon Bird-of-Prey and Reliant (repainted as the Saratoga), the model of the Grissom from Star Trek III: The Search for Spock was used to represent the USS Copernicus. The Star Trek Encyclopedia, which confirms this information, states the registry of the Copernicus was "NCC-623".

[edit] Battle of Wolf 359 (β)

Unnamed Oberth moments before being destroyed by the Borg

This unnamed Oberth-class starship was in service during the latter half of the 24th century. It was destroyed by the Borg in the Battle of Wolf 359 in 2367, along with 38 other starships. It was seen exploding outside of Benjamin Sisko's quarters on board the USS Saratoga. (DS9: "Emissary")

According to the Star Trek Encyclopedia this vessel was identified as the USS Bonestell and had a registry of NCC-31600, however, no on-screen evidence appears to support the claim.

[edit] Dax and Bashir's transport (β)

Transport to Deep Space 9

In 2369, this unnamed Oberth-class starship transported a group of Starfleet officers, including Julian Bashir and Jadzia Dax, to the newly-established Federation outpost on Deep Space 9. (DS9: "Emissary")

According to the Star Trek Encyclopedia, this vessel was the USS Cochrane.

[edit] Evacuation of Veridian III (β)

The USS Farragut leads unnamed Oberth- and Miranda-class starships from Veridian III

In 2371, an unnamed Oberth-class starship assisted the USS Farragut and an unnamed Miranda-class starship in recovering the crew of USS Enterprise-D from Veridian III, following the forced crash-landing of its saucer section. (Star Trek Generations)

Photo documents of an Oberth-class model at ILM taken around the filming of Star Trek Generations were labeled with the name Valiant. However, it is not certain whether this Oberth-class seen in that movie was in fact the same ship as the Valiant.
The TNG eBook, Slings and Arrows: "The Insolence of Office", gives this ships name as the USS Trosper.

[edit] Battle of Sector 001

Two Oberth-class vessels near Earth

At least three unnamed Oberth-class starships fought against the Borg in the Battle of Sector 001 in 2373.

One destroyed vessel is seen quickly after the Defiant maneuvers past a destroyed hulk on a strafing run on the cube. Another two vessels were on the far side of the attacking Borg cube when the cube was first engaged by the USS Enterprise-E. (Star Trek: First Contact)

This marked the final appearance of the Oberth-class in the Star Trek series.
