From Memory Alpha, the free Star Trek reference

I don't remember asking youtube be disabled, only that the weird wiki editable video system that I can't remember the name of be disabled. That said, the main reasons for that disabling would likely apply to youtube videos. --OuroborosCobra ^talk 00:15, September 30, 2009 (UTC)

Yeah, that might be what I was thinking of as well...I really don't see a problem with a trailer (not episode clips or anything similar) but have issues with linking to youtube since they routinely delete material. — Morder (talk) 00:20, September 30, 2009 (UTC)

If we even allow linking to any youtube videos it should probably be only from the official CBS channel and not some random user's upload. — Morder (talk) 00:21, September 30, 2009 (UTC)

Trailers might be alright, given that promotional materials (such as actor/character images) seem to be allowed since they were intended for dissemination, or something. --OuroborosCobra ^talk 00:26, September 30, 2009 (UTC)

I'm not an expert, but I don't think trailers would be a issue. Though if we are linking to them, an admin should set up an Memory Alpha account on youtube so there is some semi balance of control. - Archduk3:talk 00:41, September 30, 2009 (UTC)
