• According to a statement made by Doctor Carol Marcus in 2285, Starfleet had "kept the peace for a hundred years" since 2185. (Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan)

Doctor Marcus's statement seems to not take into account the obvious conflicts of the 2250s and 2260s, most notably the Battle of Axanar and the First Federation-Klingon War.
