Adam Nimoy (born 9 August 1956; age 53) is the son of legendary Star Trek actor Leonard Nimoy. He directed the Star Trek: The Next Generation episodes "Rascals" and "Timescape". Nimoy went on to work on such television series as NYPD Blue, Babylon 5, Sliders, The Practice, Ally McBeal, The Gilmore Girls, and The Outer Limits, where he directed his father in the episode "I Robot".

Nimoy was at first a lawyer, but in the 1990's began a directing career.

There is a short clip in the original series first season blooper reel, with Adam, who was about ten years old at the time, is made up as a Vulcan. He comes over and says "Hi" to his dad, who is sitting in the bridge command chair.
