Amar was a Klingon man that lived during the around the late 23rd/early 24th century.

He was a member of a Klingon religious sect that traveled to the Delta Quadrant in search of the kuvah'magh. His father started the journey, and his son, Kolax, and grandson Kohlar followed in his footsteps.

He had died sometime prior to 2377. Kohlar said a daily Plea for the Dead, to honor him in Sto-vo-kor. (VOY: "Prophecy")
