Antares class (freighter)

Antares-class freighter was a old-style warp-capable freighter utilized by the Corvallens during the 24th century.

These vessels, which could be maintained with a crew of 18, had limited range and speed, capable of traveling no more than fifteen light years in a single day.

In 2369, the Romulan Warbird Khazara was scheduled to rendezvous with a Corvallen freighter in the Kaleb sector to transfer cargo that would be transported to the Federation planet Draken IV. The Khazara later destroyed the freighter, forcing it to find an alternate means of transferring its cargo to Federation space. (TNG: "Face of the Enemy")

The model for this class of freighter was a reuse of footage of the Straleb security ship from TNG: "The Outrageous Okona", which was itself designated as a class 7 vessel.
