An anti-tachyon pulse was a type of energy utilized on Starfleet ships, generated by a deflector dish.
In 2378, Admiral Kathryn Janeway, who had time traveled from an alternate timeline, urged her younger counterpart, Captain Janeway, to close a rift created by a chrono deflector from her shuttle, the SC-4, with an anti-tachyon pulse from the USS Voyager's deflector. The rift that led to the 25th century was subsequently closed by Voyager's anti-tachyon pulse. (VOY: "Endgame")
