Arkaria was an M-class Federation planet and home to the Arkarian people. The Remmler Array was located in orbit, controlled by Arkaria Base on the surface. The temperatures on the planet were slightly above what was considered comfortable for Humans.
In 2369, the USS Enterprise-D arrived at Arkaria to be serviced by the Remmler Array. During the procedure, Arkaria Base was temporarily seized by Arkarian terrorists in league with a group attempting to steal trilithium resin from the Enterprise.
The Arkarian horn fowl was native to this planet. (TNG: "Starship Mine")
