Arneb (or Alpha Leporis) is a red giant star (spectral class F0IB), approximately 1,200 light years from Sol.

Arneb was visible from Ten Forward while the USS Enterprise-D was near 'aucdet IX and was pointed out to Guinan by Wesley Crusher. (TNG: "The Child")
