Arva nodes were starship components designed to collect hydrogen for fuel in Tosk ships. They were similar to the ramscoops of Starfleet vessels.

While a Tosk was at Deep Space 9, the arva nodes on his ship had to be replaced. (DS9: "Captive Pursuit")
