The Australian Aborigines are indigenous Australians, native to the Earth continent of Australia.
The "dream species" encountered by USS Voyager were said to live in corporeal form but communicate through their dreams, which to them, is real as the waking world. According to Chakotay, the Australian Aborigines shared a similar concept, explaining that "they believed the dream world was no less real than the waking world. In fact, their creation mythology says their ancestors dreamed the universe into existence." (VOY: "Waking Moments")
