Auto-ascent sequencer

An auto-ascent sequencer is a device that regulates the motion of a mag-lev carriage on an orbital tether.

In 2373, Neelix had to control the speed of a Nezu tether carriage manually, because the auto-ascent sequencers were offline. (VOY: "Rise")
