Barkano

The starship Barkano was a transport ship in service during the late 2360s. Believing their star charts were accurate, the crew inadvertently piloted their ship into an asteroid belt. An asteroid in the belt collided with the Barkano, resulting in damage to the ship. Fortunately, the crew suffered no averse effects. An inquiry conducted by an official agent of the Cardassian Union determined the star charts had been tampered with by members of the Bajoran terrorist faction Kohn-Ma. This incident was recorded and stored in a file on the Bajoran Intelligence net. Major Kira Nerys later read a number of files, including this one, when reviewing the past activities of the Kohn-Ma in 2369. (DS9: "Past Prologue")
