In 2267, Barstow ordered the USS Enterprise to investigate and determine if a detection of a galaxy-wide time warp distortion was a prelude to an invasion. (TOS: "The Alternative Factor")
Barstow was played by Richard Derr, who also played Admiral Fitzgerald in TOS: "The Mark of Gideon".
