Berengaria system

The Berengaria system is a star system around the star Berengaria located in Federation space. (TOS: "This Side of Paradise")

The system is located near core Federation planets, such as Vulcan, Andor, and Alpha Centauri. (DS9: "In the Cards")

The Berengaria system contains a Class M world, Berengaria VII, which was first explored by a Vulcan survey team in the early 2100s.

In December of 2154, Enterprise (NX-01) was assigned to the Berengaria system to scout for suitable planets on which the first of a series of proposed starbases could be built. Berengaria VII was a potential candidate. (ENT: "Bound")

• It is possible "Starbase 1" is located in the Berengaria system.
• The Berengaria system also appeared on a star chart in the background in TNG: "Conspiracy".
• RMS Berengaria was the name of a British navy vessel of the 20th century, which was in turn named after Berengaria of Navarre, queen consort to Richard I of England.
• The non-canon Star Trek: Star Charts places Berengaria at least 100 light years from Sol near Breen territory. In ENT: "Bound", this location is more or less contradicted, however, as it would be way off the Klingon Qu'Vat colony visited by Enterprise (NX-01) a few weeks before according to the Star Charts. Furthermore, Enterprise would have to make it back to Earth mere three weeks later for ENT: "Demons", further contradicting this proposed location of Berengaria.
