Beta VI is a distant planet located over 900 light years from Earth, on the far side of a star desert. During the mid-23rd century it was the site of a Federation colony.
In 2267, the USS Enterprise was scheduled to deliver supplies to the colony when it was intercepted by Trelane's planet Gothos. (TOS: "The Squire of Gothos")
Beta VI was only seen in the remastered episode. The planet was a reuse of Sigma Iotia II as seen in the remastered "A Piece of the Action".
