Bio-temporal chamber

A Bio-temporal chamber

A bio-temporal chamber is an experimental device developed by USS Voyager's EMH to revert a subject's cells to an earlier state of entropic decay. (VOY: "Before and After")

In an alternate timeline, the nine-year-old Kes, who had entered the morilogium, was subjected to this equipment. The device reactivated dormant chronitons in her system from a Krenim chroniton torpedo, causing her to regress through her entire lifespan, in effect, living backwards. She had no memories of what her shipmates called the past, but retained memories of the parts of their future she had seen. The regressive effect was nullified in 2373 by exposing her to controlled doses of anti-chronitons, leaving her at three years old.
