Crewman Burton was a Human Starfleet command division officer in the late 24th century, who was assigned to the USS Enterprise-D.

Burton passed Counselor Troi's office when Commander Riker entered it to check the crew evaluation report. (TNG: "Man of the People")

Together with her son, Eric Burton, she met Counselor Deanna Troi and Ambassador Loquel in a corridor in 2370. Loquel was fascinated by this "small Human" and by the reproduction of Humans. She smiled when Troi explained this situation to the ambassador. (TNG: "Liaisons")

She attended the banquet for the Cairn in Ten Forward and had a conversation with fellow crewmembers. (TNG: "Dark Page")

In the same year she was out of duty and was seen with a box in a corridor. Later she and Ensign Russell where the first crewmembers who met Vorin when he left the holodeck and was frightened and astonished by his discovery. (TNG: "Homeward")
