A butcher is a person who prepared meat and similar food for sale.
The Skagarans used the word "Rokdar", what means butcher, when they've talked about Cooper Smith. (ENT: "North Star")
Butcher was also used to nickname persons who did cruel crimes or murdered others. Eli Hollander was nicknamed the "Butcher of Boseman" on his wanted poster (TNG: "A Fistful of Datas") while Gul Darhe'el was known as the "Butcher of Gallitep". (DS9: "Duet")
