A catfish is an aquatic lifeform native to Earth. Some Human cultures eat cooked catfish.

Fried catfish was Commander Charles "Trip" Tucker's favorite meal. (ENT: "Unexpected")

When Captain Archer asked Trip if his mother would knew what his favorite meal is, he answered that she would give him her recipe for pan-fried catfish and wouldn't let him go until he promised that he won't screw up. (ENT: "Silent Enemy")

In 2152, upon believing the replicator at an automated repair station could replicate any food, the first thing Trip asked for was a "pan-fried catfish". The station found the genome and recipe in the Enterprise's database, and replicated it. (ENT: "Dead Stop")
