Cerberus system

The Cerberus system was an inhabited star system in Federation space.

The Cerberus area was noted to be the location of a Federation settlement where Carter Winston helped save citizens, including Joanna McCoy, from a supply shortage. (TAS: "The Survivor")

In the mid-24th century, Mark Jameson visited this system on several diplomatic missions for treaty negotiations. (TNG: "Too Short a Season")

It is not known if the reference to Cerberus in TAS is the same planet as Cerberus II, or a different location in this system.

Cerberus may have been named after the Greek guardian of the gates to Hades, the great dog-like monster Cerberus.
