Chad Allen (born 5 June 1974; age 35) is an openly gay actor who portrayed Jono, otherwise known as Jeremiah Rossa, in the Star Trek: The Next Generation episode "Suddenly Human". He is perhaps best known for playing Matthew Cooper on Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman for six years. He has also appeared on Punky Brewster, Hunter, Airwolf, NYPD Blue, and Cold Case.
He also played Tommy Westphall, the autistic son of Dr. Donald Westphall, on St. Elsewhere, which co-starred Norman Lloyd, Ronny Cox, Ed Begley, Jr., Kavi Raz, and France Nuyen.
