Chocolate is a sweet, dark-colored substance derived from the cocoa bean (which is actually a seed). Counselor Deanna Troi was particularly known for her love of the product, calling it "a serious thing" and saying, "I never met a chocolate I didn't like". (TNG: "The Game") Troi also preferred "real chocolate", not one of the "perfectly synthesized, ingeniously enhanced imitations" produced by replicators. (TNG: "The Price")
When first meeting Odo in 2365, Quark offered him something to drink, chocolate or companionship but all those offers were refused by Odo. (DS9: "Necessary Evil")
According to Geordi La Forge in 2367, there was a chocolate on Risa that counselor Troi surely would have liked. (TNG: "The Mind's Eye")
