The Civil Rights Movement was a set of events that took place in the United States of America in the 1950s and 60s in which people came together to campaign against racial discrimination there.

After Jonathan Archer restored a damaged timeline, protests from the time of the Civil Rights Movement could be seen in the time stream as the timeline realigned itself. (ENT: "Storm Front, Part II")

Benjamin Sisko was reluctant to visit the Bashir 62 holoprogram, as at the time it was set, the Civil Rights Movement had not yet begun to take shape and African-Americans were still being persecuted, although any discrimination was not included in Felix's program. (DS9: "Badda-Bing, Badda-Bang")
