Community service

Community service was a punishment for minor criminal offenses. It entailed performing tasks which either improved or maintained facilities within the community.

The Bajorans make use of community service as a punishment. Vandalizing an area with graffiti on Deep Space 9 was one crime with this as a penalty.

Ojuy Gel was forced to perform community service after one instance of vandalism in 2372. He was required to work sanitation duty for three weeks by an arbiter. (DS9: "Crossfire")
