Corgi

Corgi is a company in Great Britain that have created die cast models since the 1950s. An offshoot of the company, Corgi Books, published Star Trek novels in the 1970s and early 1980s.

In 2005, the company obtained a license to release models based on starships seen in various Star Trek episodes and movies.

The first released in February 2006 were models of the USS Enterprise and a Klingon Bird-of-Prey, followed by a model of the USS Enterprise-D in May 2006. Models of the USS Defiant, USS Voyager, and D'deridex-class warbird are forthcoming.

In January 2008, it was announced that Corgi had obtained a multi-year license to produce collectibles based on props and ships from Star Trek.
