Cypripedium are a group of orchid plants native to Earth.
In 2372, Chakotay discovered a cypripedium, a rare variety of the Asiatic genus Paphiopedilum, on a planet in the Delta Quadrant populated by the Sky Spirits. The species had brought back the flower from one of their trips to Earth. (VOY: "Tattoo")
