Daniel Dae Kim (born 4 August 1968 in Pusan, South Korea) is a Korean-American actor.
In the various Star Trek series, Kim played Gotana-Retz in the Star Trek: Voyager episode "Blink of an Eye", and MACO Corporal Chang in various third season episodes of Star Trek: Enterprise.
His various other television credits include appearances in numerous cult hits, including a starring role in the short-lived Crusade, as Lieutenant John Matheson; a recurring role as Gavin Park on Angel, as Agent Tom Baker on 24, and his current role as Jin in J.J. Abrams and Damon Lindelof's series Lost along with fellow Star Trek actors Terry O'Quinn and Sam Anderson. Kim also shared scenes with future Enterprise co-star and fellow MACO Steven Culp in the 2000 made for TV movie, Murder, She Wrote: A Story to Die For. Duncan Regehr and J. Patrick McCormack were also part of the cast in this movie.
Kim was rumored to be up for the role of Hikaru Sulu in J.J. Abrams' upcoming Star Trek. [1] The role ultimately went to John Cho.
