Daniel Stewart played the young Batai in "The Inner Light". He is the son of Patrick Stewart, who played Batai's father, Kamin, in the same episode.
The younger Stewart can also be seen in the 1986 mini-series Shaka Zulu. He worked with his father for a second time in the 1993 TV movie Death Train. Since then, the younger Stewart has made appearances on Space: Above and Beyond (with John Lendale Bennett, Lanei Chapman, Robin Curtis, Michael Harney, and Mark Lentry), Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (with Armand Schultz), and Without a Trace (starring Enrique Murciano).
