Department of Internal Affairs

The Department of Internal Affairs is a branch of Starfleet Intelligence. They are charged with keeping track of Starfleet operations and ensure that no security leaks are created.
In 2374, the Section 31 operative Luther Sloan masqueraded as the Deputy Director of Internal Affairs in a holographic simulation, that was designed to test Julian Bashir to test if he would make a good operative. (DS9: "Inquisition")
