Diboridium

Diboridium is an element used by the Cardassians.

The aphasia-inducing device had a diboridium core which hinted at possible Cardassian manufacture. It was later revealed to have actually been created by the Bajoran underground during the Occupation of Bajor. (DS9: "Babel")
