Disruptor pistol

Disruptor pistols are energy weapons similar to Starfleets phaser side arm. The disruptor normally only has two settings: stun and kill. The Klingons, Romulans and Breen use this weapon. (Star Trek Generations)

Quark had a disruptor pistol from his time as cook of a Ferengi freighter. The Ferengi crew were not overly fond of his cooking, necessitating the need for a weapon. In 2372, Rom used several parts of his brothers pistol to repair the bar's replicators. (DS9: "The Way of the Warrior")
