Donald Hotton played the Bajoran monk in the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine pilot episode "Emissary".

Hotton has also guest starred in The Waltons, Little House on the Prairie, Airwolf, Alien Nation and Cheers.

He also made a memorable appearance as General Tide in the popular film Dances with Wolves.
