(written from a Production point of view)
Douglas R. Mirabello (born 1976) was a production associate on Star Trek: Enterprise and the personal assistant to Rick Berman. He also portrayed an Andorian in the episodes "Shadows of P'Jem" and "Proving Ground", and Phil Wallace in "These Are the Voyages...".
In May 2005, he began developing an animated Star Trek series with David Rossi and José Muñoz. Together they formed Zero Room Productions. In February 2006, Mirabello posted online that the scripted Star Trek: The Beginning had been scrapped. At the time he implied that Star Trek would be likely "taken away" for a few years.
He worked on the production of the video games Star Trek: Away Team, Star Trek: Armada II, Star Trek: Starfleet Command III, Star Trek: Bridge Commander, and Star Trek: Elite Force II. He also worked on two installments of the Tony Hawk's Pro Skater series.
His only other television credit was as a clearance supervisor for the series Get Real, where he worked alongside directors Lou Antonio, Richard Compton, Larry Shaw, and James Whitmore, Jr.; stunt performers Shawn Crowder, Diana R. Lupo, and Justin Sundquist; as well as minor production personnel Alan Cross, Joanna Fuller, J. Armin Garza II, John Rodd, and Nancy Townsend. The series starred Scott Lawrence, and guest stars included Rosalind Chao, Paul Terrell Clayton, Dan Desmond, Efrain Figueroa, Grant Garrison, John Glover, Castulo Guerra, Mark Harelik, Scott Haven, Rif Hutton, Lenore Kasdorf, Page Leong, Jordan Lund, David Sage, Brenda Strong, Steve Susskind, and John Vargas.
