Following the attack on Earth in the season 2 finale "The Expanse", the crew of Enterprise attempt to seek out the Xindi and stop them launching their much larger, and much more devastating, weapon.

The episode order for this season was cut from 26 to 24 episodes by Paramount, following some disappointing early ratings. As the season drew to a close, rumors grew that cancellation was close at hand, but the fourth season was confirmed on May 20th, 2004.
