An electric chair was a means of execution on Earth, in which an individual is strapped within a chair and electrocuted until dead.
In 2152, Trip Tucker remarked to T'Pol that Captain Jonathan Archer would be better off "getting the electric chair" than being represented by a Vulcan lawyer. T'Pol, however, was not familiar with such a device. (ENT: "Detained")
