Ermine violin

An ermine violin is a conjectural musical instrument proposed by Spock in 2268 as an equally furry and pleasant-sounding alternative to tribbles. It presumably would have combined the sound qualities of a traditional violin with the soft features of a creature from Earth's Mustelid family of mammals. Spock noted that he could not see an advantage to having one.(TOS: "The Trouble with Tribbles")
