F.J. Rio made his first and largest Star Trek appearance as Enrique Muñiz in the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine episode "Starship Down". He reprised the character twice more, appearing in "Hard Time" and "The Ship".
He later played Joleg in the Star Trek: Voyager episode "Repentance" and a Vissian engineer in the Star Trek: Enterprise episode "Cogenitor".
- F.J. Rio has the distinction of playing one of the only Spanish-speaking characters in Star Trek (Enrique Muñiz).
