Fang-lee was a deceased member of the USS Enterprise-D, killed in action sometime prior to 2368.

Will Riker reminded Worf of Fang-lee when he contemplated suicide following a spinal cord injury in 2368. Fang-lee was an example of an honorable officer who fought for life even when hope was lost. (TNG: "Ethics")
