You may be looking for the Star Trek: Voyager episode "Flashback".

A flashback is a moment in a novel, film or television series that shows events that took place in the past. Several Star Trek episodes have featured flashbacks.

Flashbacks were used in several episodes of Star Trek: The Next Generation and Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.

Orb experiences could also be described as a form of a flashback, such as in DS9: "The Collaborator".

The majority of the episode is presented as flashbacks of the experiences of the Replicant O'Brien on Deep Space 9. (DS9: "Whispers")

During Worf's trial, the crew recount the events that led to the destruction of a Klingon civilian transport ship. In the flashbacks, the characters talk directly to the camera, although they are actually talking to Advocate Ch'Pok. (DS9: "Rules of Engagement")

Flashbacks are used to show Miles O'Brien's time in an Argrathi "prison". These events were all created in his mind by the Argrathi scientists. O'Brien recalls meeting Ee'char, drawing Eseekas and spending many years in the prison. (DS9: "Hard Time")

Nog suffers several flashbacks involving losing his leg in a Jem'Hadar attack on AR-558. (DS9: "It's Only a Paper Moon")

Lt. Commander Tuvok suffers flashbacks to a false memory created by a virus masquerading as a repressed memory engram. A mind meld with Captain Janeway results in a flashback to the time Tuvok served on the Excelsior under Captain Hikaru Sulu. The virus that infected him was transmitted to him then by science officer Dmitri Valtane.

The episode begins with a flashback of a 9-year-old Jonathan Archer building a model ship with his father, Henry Archer, referring to Ambassador Soval as "Ambasador Pointy". Throughout the episode there are flashbacks of Jonathan learning to fly the model (ENT: "Broken Bow")
