Flavius was a gladiator from Earth's Roman period that Marla McGivers adored. She kept a painting of him in her quarters aboard the USS Enterprise.
When Khan visited her quarters in 2267, he commented on her painting of Flavius, noting that it was "very good" and that she had a "fine technique." (TOS: "Space Seed")
