Flour was a fine, powdery food substance produced by grinding the meal of cereal grains. Wheat flour was a key ingredient in breads and pastries such as cake.
In 2372, Tuvix compared the difficulty of separating the genetic codes of a chrysanthemum and clematis that were merged in a transporter accident to that of extracting the flour, eggs and water after baking a cake. (VOY: "Tuvix")
