Food poisoning

Food poisoning occurs when a person eats or drinks something that contains a virus, bacteria, or other similar particles.

Morn suffered from food poisoning in 2371. He believed it was due to a free glass of kanar he was given in Quark's. He later visited the Infirmary to be treated. (DS9: "Destiny")

Gul Dukat once attempted to poison Tekeny Ghemor with poisoned kanar on Deep Space 9 in 2373. That attempt was discovered by Captain Sisko, however, that discovery did not prevent Weyoun from drinking the poisoned Kanar. Though this did not harm him, as Vorta are immune to most poisons, he did admit that it was "quite toxic". (DS9: "Ties of Blood and Water")

Luther Sloan once claimed that Vice Admiral Fujisaki, the Deputy Chief of Starfleet Intelligence, died of food poisoning, something the Section 31 member blamed the Romulans for. (DS9: "Inter Arma Enim Silent Leges")
