Frenchotte was a self-exiled Romulan composer of soothing music, though he never attained great popularity.

Frenchotte's works were part of Jadzia Dax's "forgotten composers" collection. She played some for Arjin when she served as his field docent in 2370. (DS9: "Playing God")
